Fattoush is a Lebanese salad that is both juicy and crunchy; perfect for hot climate. This salad is made from all natural, unprocessed ingredients; very ideal for those watching their weight. Sumac is made from red berries which is commonly sold ground, somewhat gives a sharp, distinct flavor that complements the crunchyness of the lettuce, cucumber, and radish.
Cook Time: 
1 lettuce, washed and chopped
1 bunch of parsley, chopped
1/2 bunch of mint leaves, washed and drained
2-3 medium cucumbers, peeled and cubed
7-8 medium radishes, sliced
1 medium green pepper, diced
1 medium red pepper, diced
1 punch of purslane (baklé), washed and drained
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
2 green onions, chopped
2-3 cloves garlic, crushed
1/4 cup pomegranate syrup (debs-el-roumman)
1/2 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 tsp. paprika
1-2 Tbs. sumac
salt, to taste
2 pita breads, cut into squares, toasted
    Cooking Method: 
    1. Combine all the vegetables, except the garlic, in a large salad bowl.
    2. Whisk together the pomegranate syrup, lemon juice, oil, sumac, paprika, salt and crushed garlic.
    3. Pour this sauce over the vegetables and mix thoroughly.
    4. Top with the pita bread squares and serve immediately.
